A wonderful way to start...

The table is set for New Years dinner. The recipes for authentic, Ashkenazi culinary delights will follow. My longing for the aromas of my childhood made me create the recipes from memory. I don't know how it works, for as a child, I ate, nothing with nothing, just like my Granddaughter Claude. Yet the colors and fragrances of days long past haunt me like a friendly ghost.
